Description: Towns County Chamber of Commerce presents their Annual 4th of July Boat Parade on Lake Chatuge in Hiawassee, GA followed by their 4th of July Fireworks Display at the Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds, Hiawassee, GA. See decorated boats of all kinds and shapes on beautiful Lake Chatuge in Hiawassee, GA in the heart of the North Georgia Mountains. The boat parade begins at 5:00PM at Nantahala Bay and proceeds to the Ridges Resort and Club. A Prize is given for the "Best of Show". Come enjoy this delightful tradition which is followed by the 4th of July Fireworks at 9:45PM at the Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds. Call 706-896-4966.

Description: Event is held in the Music Studio, Davidson Hall. Admission to the singing is free. Pot Luck "Dinner On the Grounds" is at 12:30PM. Originally published in 1866, William Walker's Christian Harmony is the oldest seven shape collection to have remained in continuous use, primarily in Western North Carolina and North Georgia. The Folk School's annual singing draws more than 70 singers from four states.
